Otrivin 0.05% Pediatric Metered Dose Nasal Spray

Nasal Spray

Relieves baby’s nasal passage to help breathe and feel better.

  • How it works

    How it works

Otrivin 0.05% Pediatric Metered Dose Spray contains xylometazoline hydrochloride. It rapidly relieves nasal congestion by locally constricting blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, reducing the swelling and opening the airways. It also facilitates drainage of the openings that connect the sinuses to the nasal cavity to ensure they remain open.

It is designed to be applied in the nostrils, where it exerts a vasoconstricting effect thereby decongesting the mucosae of the nose and the throat. This effect allows patients with colds to breathe more easily through the nose. The action of Otrivin is felt within a few minutes and lasts for several hours. Otrivin contains ingredients which help prevent the nasal mucosa drying out. Otrivin is used for Otitis Media as an adjunct for decongestion in the nasopharyngeal area. Also used for easing of rhinoscopy.
